- 1 Tablespoon of blood orange juice
- 1/2 teaspoon of diced, fresh ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon of whole cloves

Rock the Casbah Kombucha: The How-To
You will add, if you are using several smaller glass jars:
Once your kombucha is brewed, pour it into the glass jar(s) and eliminate the SCOBY.
Blood oranges are a complement to kombucha. Sweet, their purple flesh that is beautiful is an mutation which has afforded them a special place in citrus lovers’ hearts everywhere. First discovered in Italy, these delicious fruits add your kombucha and a twist of the exotic!
Then, put your jar(s) back on your “fermenting place” for 48 hours and cover with a kitchen towel so that they avoid exposure to direct sunlight.
Include the blood orange juice, diced ginger, and cloves to your kombucha. Be sure to leave some breathing room at the top of your jar(s) before covering or sealing it!
