Diet Sodas Lead to Weight Gain, Disease
A new class action suit has been filed against big soda manufacturers for misleading consumers into believing that drinking diet sodas sweetened with Aspartame are a good alternative for weight loss and overall health.
Not only do “diet” drinks sweetened with Aspartame not cause weight loss, but, according to a report on Good Morning America, there’s extensive data showing that drinking diet sodas may result in obesity, Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
As I’ve preached for quite a long time: nothing could be farther from the truth.
I recently saw a friend and noticed that he had lost weight. In fact, he’d lost 45 lbs., and the one thing he had changed in his life was that he stopped drinking all pop, including the liters of diet pop that had been a staple in his life.

My advice: save soda for special events, and then the first choice should be a natural soda like Blue Sky Organic Ginger Ale. And if you are going to drink a soda that is mass-market, do not choose the diet version that’s sweetened with Aspartame.
