If you have been following along with my monthly Style Steals installments, then you probably understand that I’m a self-proclaimed bargain shopper. So when planning my NYFW outfits, I opted to get a mix of both pieces. I wanted to elevate my regular wardrobe but feel like myself in the procedure. To save a penny or two, I recycled a lot of the jewelry and accessories that I packed and used them in most of the outfits that I ended up wearing. The cherry on top of my trip got to experience it with the woman I know–my sister! Let’s just say that our hotel room looked like a bomb went off after the luggage of each other was raided by us. What are sisters for?

To say that my initial New York Fashion Week experience was a whirlwind would be an understatement. The differences between Los Angeles and New York are vast and I have to admit that The Big Apple surpassed my wildest fantasies. Whenever I planned my trip, my attention zeroed in on the fact that I had no idea what to wear to such a monumental week in fashion. It sounds like a petty problem to have, but seeing as how every Fashion Week paves the way for tendencies, I had been feeling the pressure.
