Ladies Who Laptop: Chatting with Beauty Blogger & Podcaster Angela Lanter
And here is my tutorial on the best way best to cover dark circles.
Least favorite would be the occasional comment that comes along. When you open yourself up to the Internet, of course is to be expected, but trolls can be a real downer. I’ve had to learn all.
What inspired you to begin the Hello Bump podcast?
What is your favorite and least favorite thing about blogging?
Can you share with us some of your favourite pregnancy purchases?
There are thousands of influencers out there but only one you. Be YOU. It’s so easy to fall into the trap of appearing perfect online, but authenticity is what I think people are craving.
I used to be a fraud investigator for an insurance agency. I’ve had a passion for beauty so I always knew the desire of my heart was to maintain the beauty industry in some capacity.
In the first trimester, it was the all day nausea. From the early second trimester, it was the headaches it’s the muscles and the leg cramps. So the part has been physically feeling awful. But when I believe those baby kicks, all of the bad is forgotten.
Matt (my husband) and I noticed early on that pregnancy wasn’t roses and rainbows all of the time for me. I’ve had a good deal of women in my life talk about pregnancy as though it was this ideal experience, and that wasn’t my experience at all… So, we decided to create a podcast where we’d journal the real-life minutes for different mamas and even dads out there. I’ve been textbook for many every symptom, and even some that hardly any experience (like a horrible cyst in my first trimester), so we decided to record it for ourselves to remember the experience. When we listened to our chat session we realized it was pretty funny and why not share it?
Let’s talk digital character: What advice do you have for women about keeping things “real.”
My favourite just so happens to be my husband’s least favourite… My pregnancy pillow! I have the Leachco Snoogle and it has been a lifesaver. I also adore Bio-Oil for stretch marks, Ingrid & Isabel BellaBand, and maternity clothing from brands like PinkBlush and Seraphine.
What has been the hardest part of your pregnancy so far?
Words to live by?
Your husband Matt helps behind the scenes with your beauty videos and now you guys are working together to put the podcast out. What’s the best and hardest part of working with your spouse?
We have been blessed with so many goodies for our baby girl, but I’m the worst when it comes to décor. I take forever to make a decision and I’m still hemming and hawing over whether or not to wallpaper a wall… I haven’t even gone down the road of furniture or color schemes yet! This week we’re getting serious about decorating because we’re getting down to the wire and furniture can take to be delivered!
Have you started decorating the nursery?
Who do you want to see me interview for my second Ladies Who Laptop?
Least: Crazy brows that are wavy, braided, crazy colours… Keep it simple, girls!
We’re not sure yet. We have loved learning and podcasting about that world, but we haven’t decided how, if or when we’ll end Hello Bump yet.

I really like our Halloween videos! If I can only pick one Halloween video, it would be that 1.
We’re that couple that never gets tired of being around each other. We tend to bring out the very best in each other creatively and do our very best work when we’re together. The bad part? I am not an actress, so he still has moments of frustration with me especially when it comes to voiceover. It is not easy being married to Anakin Skywalker, haha!
Favorite: Glossy lids.
You guys jokingly call your podcast the “TMI Podcast.” Since sharing your pregnancy journey with the 16, have your spouse and you had any regrets?
For the dedicated podcast listeners, have you guys figured out how the podcast will end? Will you keep sharing your trip once Baby Lanter has arrived?
The BabyBump App due to the message boards you can join and chat your same month.

What is a typical day in the life of Angela Lanter?
Since you blog about your favourite beauty products, can you share a few your current preferred items?
Not really. I’ve been really open on my blogging journey about issues that are bodily like my struggles with endometriosis and having small breasts, so I’m obviously a fairly open person.
My favorite would be women’s community that I’ve constructed that feels like they’re all my friends, not my followers.
Hey Ladies, it’s Anna from Fash Boulevard again, bringing you another edition of my interview series, Ladies Who Laptop. Having an already jam-packed schedule, the first time momma-to-be also recently launched a raw and humorous podcast with her actor husband, Matt Lanter, known as Hello Bump, where the duo chronicle the good, the bad and the awkward moments of her pregnancy. I am telling you guys, it’s a must-listen. Now, Angela opens up about her all-time favourite YouTube videos, her favourite beauty products and also the troublesome moments during her pregnancy thus far. Let’s dive in…
I found my website in January 2013, after my girlfriends all encouraged me to share my creativity with the Internet.
Work on emails while having coffee and breakfast and I try to get up, but it goes. Based on the day, I then move on to work on site or YouTube content: writing, photo shoots, styling, shooting videos, etc..
