So far as street fashion goes, it’s safe to say that pleated radiant colors, and blazers that are oversized are dominating the scene. We can’t think to go all in in the wardrobe department. It was fun seeing all of the Fashion Week attendees putting their foot and really owning their outfits. You’ll have to stay tuned, because one of our editors is sharing her NYFW apparel roundup in addition to a roundup of our favorite Fashion Week beauty styles.
There’s so much more to soak in besides the designer duds parading down the runway, while all eyes may be on the catwalk. There are stylists bustling to get hair and makeup ready and prepped before versions slip in their looks. Designers help create the scene by transforming auditoriums floors of World Trade Center buildings, and even little locations that you wouldn’t expect to home immaculate shows. You may even witness models hopping into cabs in their way to their job or crossing the street. From the city that never sleeps, there is so much to do!
This year’s excursion to NYFW was one for the books. Fortunately it was relaxing to wake up in a gorgeous room at the Dream Midtown. There isn’t much that a latte in bed can’t cure, and we started out each day feeling refreshed and ready to handle a list. Since shows were being held all around town, we must take that New York City had to offer as we conducted by, stopped to get a bite to eat, or obtained in during afternoon Uber rides. One of our new brunch spots must be Epistrophy in Nolita, followed by a midday pick up me sipping on a matcha latte at Cha Cha Matcha. Trust us when we say that there is not any shortage of food or beverages .

The best way that we can explain aesthetics and the styles we have spotted is femme. The runways and presentations we attended were full of menswear inspired looks for fall, spring and summer. From powerful pantsuits to structured silhouettes, each collection emanated both femininity and boldness. There are when it comes to colorways. Shows had a radiant burst of neon, or featured classic neutrals jewel tones. Designers such as Club Monaco and Olivia Palermo for Banana Republic showcased plenty of khaki with pops of eyeglasses exciting components like velvet, and details such as chunky belts and bell sleeves. While designers such as Nicole Miller and KUHO contained similar components to Club Monaco and Banana Republic, it was exciting to see their use of vivid color setting them throughout their collections.
