A mandoline can help you do that. Place the cucumber slices in a colander and sprinkle with salt. Allow to sit for 5 or 10 minutes while you assemble the remaining ingredients.

In a small bowl, stir together , shoyu, sesame oil, sugar, and crushed red pepper until the sugar is dissolved.
